Wednesday 8th June Hexworthy

Well just three of us tonight - where has everone gone?  A bright clear evening but with a very cold wind. We set off towards Deep Swincombe and followed just below the dry leat.

Towards Bellever Tor and Laughter Tor..

Hamel Down in the far distance..

Into Deep Swincombe we went - but it is not actually that deep!

Now this has got to be one of the most crooked wall lines on the moor.

From the top of Deep Swincombe and off to the cross on the top of Ter Hill.  Very rough ground and hard going under foot

I spy humans - maybe they have some food for us!

Then into Skir Gut for a break before going on to The Henroost and Hooten Wheals mining complex.

Slowly darkness descends as we take the main track back down to Hexworthy....

Sharp Tor in the middle with Rippon Tor in the distance

........and into the very quiet Forest Inn with the dodgy beer but they got it right in the end.

On the walk just Stella and Mike
