Sunday 22nd July Rabbit Tor

At last we have summer - a glorious summer day and you can see for miles!

The track out from Peat Cot towards Nun's  Cross Farm.

Nun's  (or Siward's) Cross with the old farm behind.

To the top of Eylesbarrow with the two cairns (233) .

Across open moorland and over Crane Hill...

...to the Post at the end of Black Lane...

...looking back.

A Dartmoor sheep.

Two Dartmoor Sheep

An old girt or tin working area below Fox Tor - now how many wheel barrow loads did that take?

Rabbit Tor (234) but it was about 500 metres west of the grid reference given in the book.

Fox Tor above...

...and the restored Child's Tomb below.

I followed the wall back and then Nun's Cros Farm came into view

Looking back to Fox Tor

The Devonport leat.
