Friday 7th February Down Tor

Lots of beautiful sunshine this morning and an opportunity for a shorter walk from Norsworthy Bridge.

With all the rain the reservoir continues to overflow nicely.  I can't help thinking we might need all that 'lost' water in the summer.

On the track up to Deancombe....

...where you could see the vapour evaporating off the rocks in the cool sunshine.

Cuckoo Rock in the distance.

Through the boggy and muddy bit.

Looking back down the valley.

Past the crystal clear water of the Narrator Brook.

Up to Combshead Tor with this view across to the 'smooth' side of Sheeps Tor.

Over to the stone row...

... and circle

Down Tor was next with Leather Tor and Sharpitor behind.

The same view but from Down Tor.

Looking back up the valley.

Finally to Little Down Tor.
