Wednesday 5th November Lopwell Dam

A glorious day for our walk and so much better than yesterday's weather.

Starting from Lopwell Dam we took the track up through the woods to the road at Lower Lodge.

A short walk along the road before taking the track through Pound. This was the view across the estuary where the River Tavy and River Tamar meet. Saltash can just be viewed in the distance.

These young cows were most inquisitive, a little further on we passed their feeding station and it became obvious that they were expecting us to feed them.

Lots of water and wet underfoot as this little stream overflowed  across the road.

On to the quay at Blaxton Creek where we stopped for our break.

It was then decided, as the tide was out, that rather than walk back we would cross the stream.

The disused quay.

Through the woods with this view across to Bere Ferrers.

Along the side of the estuary....

...with a crossing place for tractors and finally back to the start.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the lunch at Buckland Monachorum.  With Anne, Jon, Peter, Tom, David, Jane, Phil and Linda
