Tuesday 4th October - The Bus

Jon had the brilliant idea of catching the bus so that we could do a linear rather than a circular walk. We caught the 9.54 from Sourton (spot on time it was too) and got off at the Dartmoor Inn. Only one of us had to pay because they didn't have the magic card.

Up over High Down to...

...find the Sun stone, now if only anyone knew what it is.

Up again to....

...Arms Tor for the coffee break.

Then we contoured for a while - crossing the River Lyd.

Up around a lovely little tree.

 

 

Around Sourton Tors, through the Ice works and back down to the cars.

 

We arrived at the Fox and Hounds at the same time as the cavalry - a group of about 10 on their horses.  There was some discussion about where each group should sit.  In the end we got the bar and they got the restaurant - but we got our lunch first!
